Dr Oz On Green Coffee Bean

Dr. Oz in his 2012 season said that he got slammed for calling “green coffee bean extract a miracle for weight loss.” The issue is does it actually help and does it really contain an antioxidant that melts fat away? So they performed their own study with 100 participants.  He includes experts in weight loss, nutritionists, and research people with experience in the field. To participate they used females between the ages of 35 to 49 who had a BMI of 25 to 45.  Also required was no history of diabetes, stroke or heart disease.  They were asked to keep a food log and most importantly not alter their normal diet in any way. Half took a placebo and the other half took a pure extract.

So how did it turn out?  Dr Oz stated that this trial was consistent with the research. The participants lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks.  This is actually ideal to lose one or two pounds per week.  Questions still remain if it would work long term.  If you buy a bottle of the stuff it comes in a 30 day supply.  Is it possible that you could lose 5 pounds in a month by doing nothing else but taking this supplement? Some will disagree but research suggests it might actually work.
